ANYA ZICER
Anya is a New York–based actress and theatre artist working across theatre, film, and the unpredictable territory in between. A member of Krymov Lab NYC and founder of Lost & Found Project, she is drawn to characters who are difficult to explain, impossible to categorize, and unmistakably human. She believes the most interesting things happen somewhere between tragedy and absurdity. Preferably both at once.

OFF SCRIPT
Born in St. Petersburg, raised in Tel Aviv, and transplanted to New York at 17. Three languages, three children, and a complicated answer to “Where are you from?” Actress, mother, director. Somewhere between a rehearsal, a premiere, and a parent-teacher thing I’m already late for, I’m attempting to establish who I am. So far, a remarkably ambitious child in an overstimulated adult body. One of my children lives with Duchenne muscular dystrophy, a reality that has profoundly reshaped my understanding of time, resilience, and the unpredictable nature of life. Life rarely follows the script. Luckily, neither do I. I’m quite private, considering how much I’ve just told you.
P.S. Zicer is pronounced Zi{ts}er. We might as well get acquainted properly.
